The Kittenberger Chalets am Gartensee in Schiltern near Langenlois in Lower Austria make just that possible. A unique vacation experience in our gardens, a power filling station that wants to give its guests back a piece of paradise.
High above the Kamptal, on a hill with a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view, our team has created a delightful chalet village. A lively, colorful, splashing, blooming, fragrant oasis of tranquility for all who want to combine vacationing in the garden with pleasurable chalet comfort.
The heart of the paradisical facility is a spacious crystal-clear garden lake, to which all chalets have private access to. Around this enchanting body of water, themed gardens nestle in fantastic variety with a total of 20 chalets.

Arrive and enter a world of its own. Leave your car for the next few days of your vacation. A chalet-mobile will take you along the garden lake. You glide past lush gardens, ancient fruit trees and inviting houses. And then: your chalet! Enter the garden. Your very own private garden for the days ahead! Now, a cool drink on the deck chair. Watching the water sparkle. Barbecue. Chilling. Snacking. Harvesting. And somewhere deep inside, you feel like this is not only an arrival, but also coming home to a piece of paradise.

THE Chalets
Breathe in what nature exhales
20 chalets built in 4 different architectural styles with living areas of 40 to 80 m² and a main building with a front desk, a boardroom and a small shop with regional products are waiting for you. Each chalet offers private access to the heart of the complex, the 3.400 m² natural swimming pond, and is embedded in a specially designed theme garden. The longing for nature, for simplicity, for tranquility, for the desire to discover and earthy touches will find its fulfillment. Feel yourself again, calm down and experience the joy of nature.

And? What is your Type?
There are four different chalet categories to choose from.
Will you move into one of the modern, light-flooded Villas? Do you prefer to enjoy alpine charm and a cosy wooden feeling in a country style Landhaus? Do you prefer the relaxed cosiness of the Winzerstöckl in the Kellergassen ambience? Or do you prefer the ecological indoor climate of a Studio? Whichever is your type: a private themed garden, private lake access, a sauna or special hot tub as well as garden barbecues are part of each of the chalets.
Winzerstöckl
traditional, enjoyable, down-to-earth
You can hardly be closer to wine than in this chalet. The five buildings convey pure wine culture in color, form and building material. Surrounded by vines, the ensemble radiates the impression of a cellar alley. Accordingly, the gardens of this type of chalet are also dedicated to viticulture.

The house for those who appreciate the alpine charm of a chalet built from Austrian solid wood. The gardens of the country houses also refer to the Alpine Republic: rose garden, rock garden, cottage garden and flower garden...

The chalet that lets you look as far as the Ötscher mountain. Togetherness blossoms here, the gardens bear the appropriate names such as "Garden of Love", "Garden of Romance" or "Garden of Dreams".

- In our regional shop in the main building, you’ll find many local delicacies waiting to be discovered.
Just a few steps away, the Glas.Haus Garden Restaurant welcomes you with freshly grilled dishes, juicy burgers, garden curry, snacks, iced coffee, and traditional Austrian desserts. Of course, the surrounding area also offers plenty of culinary temptation: Wine tastings at top Kamptal wineries, cosy Heurige with both classic and creative bites, rustic inns, and even award-winning fine dining restaurants. In any case, we’d like to say in advance: Enjoy your meal!
Breakfast
Whether you are an early riser or like to sleep in - we ensure a good start into the day! Our breakfast basket is delivered directly to your chalet and is filled with delicacies from the region: homemade jam, crispy pastries, organic butter, organic ham and cheese, fresh vegetables and orange juice. And if you like more, whether festive with champagne and salmon or healthy with yogurt and fruits, just ask for our additional offer.
Dinner
Would you like to not leave your chalet after a relaxing day and still enjoy regional dishes? Our freshly cooked dinner with local specialties can be ordered by the day. Choose whether you want to dine on just a main course, a 2-course or 3-course menu. Stay cosy in your bathrobe and watch the sunset on your terrace - we serve everything directly to your chalet. In case of allergies or intolerances, please just let us know.
Barbecue
When enjoying the summer evenings at the garden lake nothing tastes better than grilled food. With our barbecue package offering different kinds of meat, fresh vegetables, crispy salad, regional bread and homemade sauces you will become a grill master!
